This instrument indicated the current direction of the aircraft and pointed to magnetic north. It was designed to replace the older and larger Type 92 compass, and was located on the main instrument panel.
Used in most mid to late war fighters. Made of brass and aluminum by the Tokyo Aviation Indicator Company, this instrument is in EXCELLENT used condition! It was taken from a downed Japanese aircraft during the war, and it still retains 95% of it's original finish! Some slight marks, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance.
