Ww2 imperial Japanese army military bugle. Presenting a signal bugle from the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II.Marked'YAMATO' on the top, this bugle was used by my grandfather during the war. Originally, Japanese soldiers signaled battle commands and retreats with conch shell flutes.
By the 1800s, western-style bugles like this one replaced them. Documentation states that in WWII, buglers in every company signaled Banzai charges. Refer to the last two photos for details.
