All come in their original boxes. Some of the ribbons show fading and color staining. This medal was established to commemorate the 2600th year (1940) since the founding of the Japanese empire in 660 BC. The medal features the Imperial Chrysanthemum above the sacred double bridges leading to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. The reverse of the medal features Japanese characters that read "2600th Commemorative Anniversary Medal" with the characters below reading "Showa 15" (1940).
