WW2 imperial japanese army type 98 gunto Fujiwara Kunimichi signed #8222

  

[Condition Description] It is a long wakizashi of Shintou Jojosaku (signature) Dewa Daijo Fujiwara no Kuniji. It is housed in a Type 98 Gunto Koshirae, and the metal fittings are 11, and the handle is stamped with 11 numbers, and the head has a three-letter crest on the circle.

It is considered to be a high-class Gunto Koshirae. Blade is overall in very good condition with normal signs of wear.

There are fine marks on the blade, and there is a scratch on the front side of the blade, but it is a well-made sword. Blade total length 73.3cm. Koshirae total length 91.2cm. Please see pictures for condition. The Procedure of sending Japanese swords abroad-It takes additional time!

All our swords with hand forged blade are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education. I can not send original registration card. I send the copy of it.
