WW II Imperial Japanese Navy BIG EYE 15x80 SHIPBOARD BINOCULARS NICE

  
This "Big Eye" style was specifically used on late-war battleships, destroyers, cruisers and other surface vessels! These were brought back by a US veteran, however I do not have any further history. Made of a solid brass, aluminum, and steel by Toko, this set of binoculars is in VERY GOOD used condition! Manufactured earlier in the war, they retain traces of their original paint!

The optics are still in PERFECT alignment... However there is a chip in one of the prisms. Chip is not very noticeable when looking through, as it is at the very top. No major spotting or dust particles! The center features a prominent data plate indicating all manufacture information, as well as a Navy Anchor stamp.

The 80mm front objectives are slightly recessed. The oculars should normally rotate inward and outward slightly, so the user can adjust for eye spacing...

However they are very stiff. It would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items.
