WW II Imperial Japanese Army MODEL 98 KOU MAGNETIC COMPASS VERY NICE

  
This instrument indicated the current direction of the aircraft and pointed to magnetic north. It was located on the main instrument panel of most of the front line fighters, and the occasional trainer.

Made of brass and aluminum by the Tokyo Aero Indicator Co. This piece is in EXCELLENT condition! It was taken from a downed Japanese aircraft by a US Serviceman during the war, and still retains 90% of it's original finish! Most of the original fluid still remains t. Air bubble at the top, but it is not too noticeable.

100% functional, it features an aluminum data plate, which states the model, manufacture, and production number. There is some paint fading and chipping due to the age, but nothing that take away from the overall appearance.

Like most Japanese instruments, this item is VERY RARE and would be a FANTASTIC addition to any Japanese Instrument Collection! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc.
