This is a type I chronograph and luminescent seconds watch made by Seikosha that was actually used in World War II. It was used by the Imperial Japanese Navy's Air Corps, as there is a'sky' mark on the outside of the caseback and an'anchor' mark on the inside of the caseback.

Also, the "G in a circle" mark on the inside of the back cover indicates that the watch was serviced at the Toyokawa Naval Arsenal. The condition of this piece is relatively good, especially the movement is in good working order. Many of the military watches that have actually been used in the military are damaged by age and use, and not a few Seikosha chronograph pocket watches are in such condition.

In this respect, the good condition of this piece is highly valuable. As it is a Seikosha chronograph, we believe it was made between 1941 and 1945. This watch was manufactured in the period when Japan entered the Second World War with the attack on Pearl Harbour. It is a size 16 made by SEIKOSHA. (Model: Model 17 chronograph, mid-1945).
