These earplugs were used by the Japanese military during World War II. Damage to eardrums from explosions and artillery fire easily disabled soldiers from fighting.

The Japanese Army issued this type of earplugs, but there were not enough of them, and in the end, only officers, enlisted men, and experienced veterans received them. Because of their small number, they are very valuable. It comes with a beech wood case. The earplugs are made of Bakelite and have a hole and wire mesh in the center to protect the eardrums and at the same time allow sound to be heard.
