Custom Museum Quality Professional Mannequin for WW2 Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms and Equipment. Complete custom mannequin for displaying Imperial Japanese Army or Navy uniforms and gear. It fits together quickly in 7 pieces that have metal interlocking attachments that turn and snap in as you can see in the images.

The face is especially well done and the ears so realistic that period eye glasses and headgear fit quite well as you can see in the close up. Not generally available now, they are seldom seen on the open market usually passing quietly from one serious collector to another.

When collectors acquired these limited produced mannequins they soon discovered however that period boots and shoes would not fit over the feet and so they removed the toe section on them as you see here. This permitted the period boots or shoes to be placed on. The mannequin fell at one point in its life resulting in the right thumb being broken off, this was epoxy glued back on and the seam repainted so it is solid and serviceable.

You can see in the images that it is not very noticeable. In my display I put a period bandage or flag over this area which further masked the seam line.

There is a small rectangular opening on the rear bottom of the right leg to affix a metal shaft for a floor stand; a stand and shaft was not included probably as it would have interfered with placement of foot wear unless the sole was opened up which would be unthinkable to do tp original gear. The paint colors especially the face remain mostly fresh. There is some rubbing or surface scratching in some areas of the body such as the bottoms of the heels which of course would not be noticeable when fully uniformed. The mannequin is safe and will not fall with corner placement but a rear or side supports should be considered to make it free standing. Two images show the same mannequin completely outfitted as a Japanese Pacific Theatre Infantryman c 1944. This item is from my personal collection of many years.
