WWII Japanese SHOWA 18-year Type3 Sword NIHONTO KATANA Imperial Japanese Army WW2 BLADE. This is the Army's official military sword established in 1943. Commonly known as the Type 3. It is considered to be a late model due to the single hole and the characteristic of the handle. From the condition of the scabbard, it is possible that it was actually used in the war.

The blade has been well cared for, and the condition of the blade is good in relation to the exterior. Note: The former Japanese Army simultaneously used the fourteen-year pistol, the Type 38 infantry gun, and the Type 99 short rifle as equipment.
