WWII Imperial Japanese Navy Destroyer Hamakaze Launch Sake Cups Set / Anchor

  

This is a rare set of Imperial Japanese Navy commemorative sake cups, issued to celebrate the launch of the destroyer Hamakaze-one of the most iconic vessels of Japan's WWII fleet. Crafted with rich vermilion glaze and hand-painted gold designs, each cup features the naval anchor, cherry blossom, and crane-traditional symbols of duty, honor, and remembrance. The soldier's name "Shichiro " is marked on the base. The cups come in the original wooden box with a stamp of the shipyard and commissioning inscription.

Commissioned in 1941, Hamakaze was a Kagero-class destroyer that played a key role in. Battle of the Philippine Sea (1944). Final escort mission of Battleship Yamato (1945).

Hamakaze was sunk alongside Yamato during Operation Ten-Go, marking one of the most dramatic naval endings in military history. A must-have for advanced collectors of WWII militaria or Japanese naval history. Condition: Excellent, no cracks or chips. 7.5 cm diameter, 3.6 cm height.
