Rare 1940 Manchukuo National Census Commemorative Medal. Issued in Manchukuo (Japanese-controlled Manchuria) during WWII. Commemorates the national census conducted on October 1, 1940. Dark bronze medal, 30mm in diameter.

Obverse: Orchid crest and Hsinking Government building on Manchukuo map. Reverse: Inscription "Kang Teh 7th year/ National Census Commemorative Medal/ 10th month 1st day". Original 38mm ribbon: Dark red with 12mm maroon center. Excellent condition, a true piece of WWII history.
