Ww2 Japanese Imperial Navy Kai Gunto Officers Sword With Original Leather Cover

  
The sword is complete and in fantastic condition, the scabbard is wood that is painted/lacquered with black gloss, the fittings on the scabbard appear to be copper that is gold gilt, there is very minor damage on the scabbard, just a few very small nicks, which is amazing considering its age. The condition could be explained by the scabbard being protected by the Leather cover. The blade is superb it has no visible rust, dents or dinks. It appears to have some oil on the blade. The blade is a perfect fit in the scabbard.

The handle is 10 inches. The scabbard is 27.5 inches.
