WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy Long Service Medal - Kure Naval Arsenal. This is an original WW2 Japanese Navy long service badge awarded to personnel of the Kure Naval Arsenal. Made of bronze, the medal features two crossed anchors overlaid with the kanji for (long service), surrounded by cherry laurel wreaths and topped with a cherry blossom - symbolizing honor, endurance, and loyalty. On the reverse, the engraving " " (Kure Naval Arsenal) identifies the issuing location, making this version rarer than the standard long service badges. It comes with the original wooden presentation box (the characters are faded but still partially visible). About the Kure Naval Arsenal. The Kure Naval Arsenal, located in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, was one of the most important military shipyards of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Established in the late 19th century and expanded through the 20th century, it was the birthplace of several famous warships-including the battleship Yamato, the largest battleship ever built. Kure was not only a center for naval engineering, shipbuilding, and weapons manufacturing, but also a symbol of Japan's maritime ambition and industrial power.

Workers at Kure Naval Arsenal were considered elite among naval civilian personnel. A long service medal from this site reflects a career deeply tied to Japan's naval might during the Pacific War.

Box included (original wood box). This badge is more than a medal - it's a tangible piece of Japan's wartime industry. It represents years of dedication by those who built the backbone of the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Unlike frontline medals, this item tells the story of the hands that forged the steel, the minds that engineered the vessels, and the loyalty that kept the Navy moving. Own a Piece of History.
