This was used as a way of communication between various strongpoints and trenches throughout the war. Complete with the original transport box, this was brought back by a US Veteran who served in the Pacific. A signal lamp is a visual signaling device for optical communication, typically using Morse Code.

It is a focused lamp which can produce a pulse of light, via a manually operated pressure switch. The lamps were usually equipped with some form of optical sight. They provide handy, secure communications during periods of radio silence as well as other times and were particularly useful during trench warfare. Made of aluminum, glass, and steel, this piece of equipment is in VERY NICE used condition! Some slight scratches, wear, and paint chips due to the age, but still retains 95% of it's original paint!

Though it comes in it's original box, it is not 100% complete (small tool and some light bulbs). Comes with the original electrical cord and plug! Verything is mechanically functional, however I have not tested it electrically.

Retains the original brass data plate, with a very early 1939 date. Apart from a few missing bits, it is in E. XCELLENT overall condition, and is only the SECOND one I have seen another one of it's type! Normally never seen on the market, it would make a PERFECT item for any collection or display!

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. Use is solely based on my authorization only.
