There are three types of Japanese field telephones, known to exist. The standard telephone was the Type 92.This is a beautiful piece of workmanship, with a wooden case with brushed aluminum fittings. Complete in the original leather case, the top cover features two latches, then when depressed, opens to reveal the headset mike, and the line connections. Both the earphone and the microphone are together with a cast metal horn extending down for the mouthpiece. There is also a "push to talk" lever along one side of the assembly. Internally, there is a button for morse-code communication, an electrical diagram, battery holder, on/off switch, and and a front speaker. The original data plate is also still intact. Comes complete with all the original accessories and wiring! The screwdriver is missing, but the wrench is still inside.
Sadly, the top to the leather case has come away... But it could easily be re-stitched.
A VERY RARE and PERFECT addition to any collection or display! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period.
