Four-cornered screw hole emplacements for fastening to the aircraft's instrument panel. Large brass winding button (pre-1940).
Large light aluminum alloy or Bakelite winding button (1941-45). Made of brass (almost all were aluminum) and steel, this RARE variant Seikosha Aircraft clock is in SUPERB used condition! Though most of the paint is gone, the. Dial and hands both glow when w when UV light is applied! Some slight marks due to the age, but overall features minimal wear.
The data plate is still attached, and clearly indicates the manufacture and model. Sadly, the winding crown and stem are missing. I managed to manually wind it, and it is 100% FUNCTIONAL (see attached video). The vet inscribed his last name, along with the places he served on the back on the case lid.
Sadly, I do not have any further information on the vet. I have indicated it's location in the last photo. Like most Japanese instruments, this is a VERY RARE item, and would male a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
