WW II Imperial Japanese Army Aircraft TYPE 97 TURN & BANK INDICATOR RARE

  

This was used in the. Such as the Ki-27 Nate, Ki-36 "Ida", Ki-9 "Spruce", Ki-55 "Ida", Ki-54 "Hickory", and others!

This instrument measured the current Turn and of the aircraft by the use of air pressure. It was located on the main instrument panel of the Nakajima Ki-27, Tachikawa Ki-36, Tachikawa Ki-9, Tachikawa Ki-54. Made of brass and aluminum, this indicator is of early war manufacture. It still retains 95% of it's original finish, and features an aluminum data plate, clearly indicating the model, manufacture, and production number. It has a manufacture date of January 1941 and the dial still glows when UV light is applied!

As it was removed from a Japanese aircraft, it features some wear and marks. The front has a flux adjustment lever, however it is currently very stiff, and will need to be oiled/cleaned, in order for it to move freely.

I have indicated it's location in the last photo. Like most Japanese instruments, this item is VERY rare and would be a SUPERB addition to any Japanese Instrument Collection! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items.
