COBI Historical Collection WWII - IJN Akagi Imperial Japanese Navy Fleet Carrier. 34.3 x 7.9 x 6.7 inches.
1:300 scale assembled model dimensions (length x width x height): 87cm (34.3") x 20.5cm (8"). Clear and intuitive instructions based on illustrations and step-by-step directions.
Fully compatible with other brands of construction blocks. It was part of the 1st Air Fleet of the Japanese Navy. Akagi was one of six aircraft carriers that took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, which began the war in the Pacific. It also took part in the Battle of Midway, during which it was sunk in June 1942 by American aircraft.
Its sinking was a key moment influencing the further course of war, unfavorably for Japan. It consists of 3,573 elements and is 87cm long. A very interesting design solution are two movable airplane elevators that we can raise and lower. The Akagi aircraft carrier has numerous moving parts like the propellers, rudders, rotating turrets and gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. On the deck of the aircraft carrier you can place the 5 colorful mini planes with prints included in the set!
We recommend this large model mainly to veteran collectors and fans of blocks who are not afraid of long hours of building! Thanks to the intuitive instructions divided into stages the construction process is simple and straight-forward. And due to containing over 3,500 elements, we guarantee a multi-hour construction process with a truly spectacular result! We offer the best prices around on high quality products.
