A pair of original WW2 Japanese parade flags. The small printed silk flags are both mounted on black and brown striped wooden sticks, each with a gold painted ball finial. One flag is Japanese national Hinomaru flag with a red circle on a white background and the other flag is the Japanese Navy war flag with the sun and rays on a white background. These small hand flags were popular at military parades, send offs and homecomings of military personnel. Each stick measures 30 cm long with the National flag measuring 17 cm long by 12 cm tall and the Navy war flag measuring 22 cm long by 16 cm tall.
