WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy Barometer Airfields and Battleships VERY NICE

  
This was used at airfields, onboard various surface vessels Destoyers, Battleships, Carriers, etc. , as well as weather stations! A barometer is a scientific instrument used in meteorology to measure atmospheric pressure. Pressure tendency can forecast short term changes in the weather. Numerous measurements of air pressure are used within surface weather analysis to help find surface troughs, high pressure systems and frontal boundaries.

Made of brass and aluminum, this piece is of late-war manufacture. Though it has some marks, scratches, and wear due to the age, it still retains 95% of its original finish!

All data information is printed on the dial, and data plate, indicating type & manufacture, date (1944), and production number. NO corrosion, and is 100% FUNCTIONAL! Brought back by a US Veteran, it will c omes complete in the original wood transport box he used to send it home in.

Like most Japanese WW2 items, this indicator is VERY RARE, and would make a PERFECT addition to any Japanese Instrument or Radio collection! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage.
