There are three types of Japanese field telephones, known to exist. The standard telephone was the Type 92.This is a beautiful piece of workmanship, with a wooden case with brushed aluminum fittings. The top cover features two latches, then when depressed, opens to reveal the headset mike, a second headset, and the line connections. Sadly, one of the upper locking mechanisms is not functional. Both the earphone and the microphone are complete.
The wood has some marks, chips, and wear, due to the age. The front panel folds down to reveal a rack for two batteries (comes with an original 1944 US Signal Corps Battery), the removable lightning arrestor and a spare parts kit (complete, but loose and needs to be re-attached to the wood). The original data plate is still attached. Comes in the original leather case, which is usually missing. Some wear, marks, tears, and loose stitching... A PERFECT item for any collection or display! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period.
